The Gaming Industry Helped by Online Games to Play with Friends
Social Network for Gamers| Online Games to Play with Friends
Some people also want to enjoy Online Games to Play with Friends. We also feel this way when we aren’t allowed to leave our house during the lockdown or for a long time.
Print media has been hit hard by the rise of the Web. Games magazines would be near the top of any death list. A lot of blogs and websites have taken over the news coverage for monthly magazines and newspapers. These blogs and websites can get the smallest bits of news and screenshots up and running as soon as they come out of nowhere.
But some of the best gaming blogs also offer insightful reviews and sparky analysis, while others just make you laugh out loud for hours at a time. Our sister site, GameSpot UK, has a blog called London Calling that has all of those things and more. We couldn’t really include them, could we? We’ve found the ten best that aren’t next to us.
10. GoNintendo
For anyone who wants to learn more about Nintendo games, this is a must-have RSS feed or bookmark. By sheer weight of posts alone, it’s a must-have. It gathers up stories from all over the Internet and quickly sums them up, making it easy to find all the Nintendo news of the day at a single place.
It’s number 9.
In fact, Shacknews is one of those sites that blurs the line between a blog and a news site because it has so many different types of news and other things. With so many blogs looking for the same things, it’s still worth reading because it still has exclusives and new perspectives on the same things that other blogs do.
8. That VideoGame Blog
Another blog that looks behind the headlines and often has posts that are as interesting to people in the games industry as they are to people who play games. A hard line to walk, but it does it with style. It has a simple design and clear writing that makes it a good choice for a break.
7. The UK has been resisting the EU.
Come here if you’re interested in Sega, Suzanne Shaw, and Sony-slating at every chance. Don’t come looking for 20 news posts a day. Not because UKR is a fanboy blog: it’s so consistently funny that you won’t want to drink tea in front of your computer screen again because it’s always so funny.
6. Touch the Arcade is 6.
If you’ve seen Apple’s recent jabs at Nintendo and Sony, you know that iPhone gaming is a big deal. Touch Arcade is one of the blogs that cover this new and growing field. It has news, hands-on previews, and a lively forum where game developers talk about their new games.
Five. The Guardian Games Blog is at: http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/gamesblog
As a blog for a broadsheet newspaper, the Guardian’s Games Blog doesn’t rush to get press releases and screenshots. Instead, it takes a more measured approach, offering analysis, interviews, and opinions. Always easy to read, and sometimes thought-provoking.
4. Destructoid is the fourth game on this list.
There are a lot of blogs that just rehash the news about games, but none of them are on this list. You can tell that Destructoid is one of the games blogs that has its own unique personality. It’s always sharp, sparkly, and never dull.
The third is VG247.
You can tell that this blog has a lot more going for it than any of the other UK blogs on this list. It recently won three awards at the Games Media Awards. Besides, the writing is very good, and it has a little humor in it to make it more interesting. One of the two big names in the world of games blogging, Joystiq has a lot of posts every day. They post news stories as soon as they come out, and they try to get exclusive information whenever they can. A must-have source for anyone who wants to learn more about gaming.
1. Kotaku is the name of the game. 2.
A lot of the stories on Kotaku and Joystiq are about the same things, because there is so much competition between the two of them, so it’s hard to choose. Kotaku, on the other hand, has a better sense of humor, but its writers don’t go overboard.
