One of the most important things you should keep in mind when it comes to time management is that unless you are exceptionally intelligent and talented, you probably won’t be able to attempt all the questions in the exam. It’s perfectly fine.
In fact, sometimes the desire to solve all the questions can put the students in trouble as your accuracy level can drop drastically under the pressure of time.
Since the test has negative marking, it can adversely affect your overall score. A student needs to solve 200 questions in 120 minutes, so having a strong time management strategy is a must.

Select Question and Select
What you should do is choose which questions to attempt and which to skip, so that you are in control of the exam at all times. If you are not able to solve a question then it is absolutely fine. Go ahead and try to solve other questions in the paper. A smart test taker will skip all the questions which initially seem time-consuming and lengthy and come back to them at the end only when there is time left in the exam. This strategy works especially well on CLAT as there is no specific cut-off that needs to be cleared.
Practice Makes you Perfect
As an aspirant for the CLAT entrance exam, your aim should be to attempt around 150-160 questions in total with 90% accuracy. If you can put in more effort, by all means, do it, but that should be the goal for an average student.

Legal Qualification
The most important section to attempt in CLAT 2022 is the Legal Aptitude section. General Awareness
The General Knowledge section in the CLAT exam consists of 50 questions from Static GK and Current Affairs.

Numerical Ability

For the preparation of the Mathematics section, candidates should attempt a maximum number of Quantitative Aptitude questions.
Logical Reasoning
This is again a very unexpected section. Students’ unfamiliarity with this section makes it difficult. It consists of 40 questions based on Coding-Decoding, Family Tree, Arrangement, Syllogism and Critical Reasoning. Critical Reasoning is the most important part of this section. The ideal number of attempts in this section is 32-35 with 90% accuracy.
Verbal Ability
This section mostly consists of questions that test your reading skills. Many students drop reading comprehension because they lack the aptitude to read. The reason for skipping reading comprehension is that it is time-consuming and the level of accuracy is also low. A lot of practice should be done as it is highly recommended that you should attempt reading comprehension questions as by reading just one passage you will be able to answer 5 to 10 questions. If you work a little on improving reading skills, it will also help you solve questions based on sentence completion and sentence arrangement.
Glossary
Another important aspect of the verbal section is vocabulary. The paper has a lot of questions on synonyms and antonyms. These questions become difficult if you don’t have a say in it. The focus should be on expanding the word base.
Grammar
The questions are on the use of English. Find the errors and phrase substitution major type questions are asked. Out of the total 120 minutes, you will get, you should spend around 20-25 minutes on this section in which you should try to solve around 25-30 questions.
