Zakat education and Pakistan
Pakistan is home to a variety of people from the richest to the poorest ones. The underprivileged people of society have to fight hard to meet their needs. Years of disputes in past times and the war on terror have led many families to relocate. This has led them to reside in makeshift shelters and slums, a lot of people are still residing in the debris of their damaged houses.
Moreover, COVID pa demic has made the condition worst. Thousands of people lost their jobs due to the closure of industries. Daily wagers were the most affected ones. So, KORT decided to launch charitable projects to help the vulnerable families which are heavily affected by this pandemic. KORT has started following charitable projects to help these families.
- Zakat, Sadaqah and Fitranacirculation to these families
- Distribution of necessary items
- Food items and Qurbani meat.
In Pakistan, there are less privileged areas that are left behind other areas of Pakistan
People here are living in mud houses, have no access to clean and fresh water and sanitation, and have no clean spaces to pray. So KORT is on the ground to do something for them with the help of your donations. Here are the things we are going to do
- Installation of clean water wells
- Construction and repair of mosque
- Winter accessories
- Wudu locations and restoration of mosques
- Water filtration plants
- Sponsorship Of Orphans
- Construction & Restoration of Schools
KORT has partnered with an organization called INDUS they Offer Free Treatment to Individuals in Need in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. KORT is also setting up temporary medical camps to ensure good health.
- Establishing Medical Camps for Poor & Needy
- Free Medical Treatment
“You will never attain closeness to Allah until you spend of what you cherish, and whatever you spend on anything, Allah indeed knows it.” (Quran 3:92)
Holy Prophet said,
“Stay away from doing unfairness to others, on the Judgment Day, it will turn into many darknesses, and safeguard yourself against selfishness, for it ruined those who were before you. Prompted them to murder and treating the unlawful as lawful.” (Muslim). So, remember that the poor and needy are all entitled to a portion of our wealth, and is our right as Muslims to help them. The amount doesn’t matter, the thing which matters is to donate. Your donation of a little money can change someone’s life.
There are an unaccounted number of orphans and homeless children in Azad Jammu Kashmir and Pakistan. It is our aim to provide a safe and secure home as well as an excellent education for 1000 orphans and 500 underprivileged children by 2016 in KORT’s new educational complex at Jarrikas, Mirpur (AJK).
We that every child deserves a quality education, and unfortunately
As we are a developing country and lack financial resources to provide such necessities for these children, it is organizations such as KORT that are trying to fill the gap working alongside the Governments of Pakistan and AJK. However, these children are not only the responsibility of the government but also that of the whole nation. It is not the choice of a child to become an orphan, but you/we have the choice to make a difference in his/her life!
It is through education and technology that we can transform from a developing to a developed country. Therefore, it is KORT’s belief that the foundation of a successful nation is based upon education!
We ask Allah to grant us sincerity, grant us abundant wealth so we can spend in his path, and take away greed out of our hearts. Ameen.
